Rental with Gleevery, a Polish marketplace, provides rental services for products from a wide range of categories including sports, technology, home and garden, and health and beauty. Through our Visa Benefits programme, Gleevery customers are encouraged to adopt rental behaviours through a month-long free-of-charge access to the service.
Rheaply is an online marketplace where local businesses and nonprofits can shop for pre-owned materials and reclaimed furniture. We have sponsored three new free-to-join marketplace locations in collaboration with Rheaply, the first of which in Washington D.C., to help eliminate barriers with participating in Recommerce.
In 2021 we launched our She’s Next Programme, in partnership with IFundWomen, to support women business owners with tools, resources and funding to help them make their next move into sustainable-focused business. This year, women-led businesses are able to apply for one of five grants of €10,000 plus a year of coaching provided by IFundWomen.
We have partnered with ecolytiq to provide bank customers with environmental footprint tracking. ecolytiq makes individual environmental footprints, e.g. CO2, visible to bank customers, providing user-friendly insights, and engages them with content and context that helps them cultivate more environmentally conscious lifestyles and spending habits. This service allows people to understand their impact, change their behaviour, and compensate for their environmental footprint should they choose to.
In 2022 we announced our membership of CharIn, the global not-for-profit organisation advocating consistent and simple infrastructure to grow electric vehicle adoption. As the first member from the financial services and payments industry, we have led work to help understand how electric vehicle use can increase when the user experience (for payments or otherwise) is simple to adopt.
We’re also supporting new and different ways to grow electric vehicle charging infrastructure. We partnered with JustCharge (powered by JustPark) in the UK to help people with home chargers use their network to rent their chargers out to others. Helping them make some money back and also growing the availability of public charging. The partnership offered consumers rewards when they pay using their debit or credit card.
