In 2018, Visa announced a landmark multi-year partnership with UEFA. Visa became the first ever UEFA sponsor dedicated to women's football, following the unbundling by UEFA of sponsorship rights from the men's game.
The historic announcement offers an exciting platform to position Visa as a champion of diversity and inclusion across the board and show case its commitment to celebrate and support women's football at all levels.
The partnership with UEFA also demonstrates Visa’s ongoing global commitment to enabling powerful sporting moments as shown by our long-term partnerships with FIFA, the Olympics and more recently the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF).
The partnership reflects the ongoing boom in women's football throughout Europe, as well as the success of UEFA’s Together #WePlayStrong campaign. The partnership will support efforts to change the image of the women's game and make football the No. 1 sport among girls and women in Europe.
