From the roof of Visa’s One Market headquarters, at the heart of Super Bowl City, Visa’s guests and clients will have the opportunity to think off the field and from their hearts. The Visa Giving Wall will be on display all week to offer attendees a chance to donate to one of three charity partners:
- The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, which mentors local youth from disadvantaged circumstances with a variety of programs
- SF-Marin Food Bank, which provides more than 100,000 meals a day in its effort to end hunger in the area
- Friends of the Urban Forest, which funds community planting, tree care, education and advocacy
“We are proud to be able to use the Super Bowl moment to build upon our work to help create healthy and vibrant communities right here in our own backyard,” says Douglas Sabo, Visa’s Head of Corporate Responsibility and Philanthropy.
Payment technologies like DipJar, a gadget that simplifies donations with credit transactions, will allow attendees to either tap a tablet to donate or dip their Visa cards into the Dipjar device to donate a fixed $20 to their chosen charity.
With the Visa Giving Wall launch, Visa joins many Super Bowl 50 efforts to enrich the community as part of this moment of celebration in the San Francisco Bay Area.
