Nadia is an Afghan Danish football player who speaks nine languages and plays as a striker for Racing Louisville FC, as well as for the Danish national team. After fleeing the Taliban as a refugee, Nadia realised that not only did she want football to become her life, but that she also wanted to inspire other girls to be ambitious. In 2018, Forces ranked her number 20 in their ‘Most Powerful Women in International Sports’ List and in 2019, she was designated as UNESCO Champion for Girls’ and Women’s Education. After studying at medical school for 5 years, Nadia officially qualified as a doctor in 2022.
Her club football career includes playing for Sky Blue FC and Portland Thorns FC in the NWSL, Manchester City in 2018, PSG for 2019/20 and, in 2021, Nadia returned to the NWSL and signed for Racing Louisville FC where she was named the team's vice captain for the 2019–20 season.
