London’s taxis flow better with Visa

Now there’s a new, approved way to accept payment in your taxi – by Visa. It’s quick and convenient – both for drivers and passengers – and another way to compete with private hire.

Accepting Visa in your taxi gives you the potential for:

• A safer working environment – less cash carried in the cab

How it works

The whole solution is approved by Transport for London. The card terminal is officially attached to the taxi meter. Passengers pay by Visa using the PIN pad and card reader in the back of the taxi.

Chip and magnetic stripe payments are supported. For the first time, passengers can also pay in less than a second with contactless technology.
